In Grade 5, students will learn how to logically structure their texts and support their arguments using strong, reliable evidence. They will learn the proper usages of transition words in writing.

What you'll learn

Unit 4 - Writing: Include a clear topic sentence in your writing, use transition phrases, write with a clear paragraph structure.

Unit 5 - Speaking and Listening: Engage in different forms of group discussions, logically paraphrase information verbally, and identify a speaker’s purpose.
