The SAT is digital and adaptive: the second module of each section changes difficulty based on the first, which means pacing early matters more than it used to. The ACT remains a speed test above all. Those are different problems, and a student who is strong on content can still lose a hundred points to timing on one and not the other. We start with a full diagnostic under real conditions rather than a conversation about which test suits them, because the score gap between the two is usually the answer, and it is measurable in an afternoon.

The Dublin/Pleasanton BART station is close enough that older students sometimes come on their own.

California students follow the Integrated Mathematics sequence — Integrated Math 1, 2 and 3 — rather than the Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 order used in North Carolina, and a course that shares a name across the two states often does not share its content or its order.
