Grade 1 - Math

In first-grade mathematics, students learn to represent real-life situations through addition and subtraction sentences, as well as how to tell time and compare lengths.

What you'll learn

Unit 1 - Learn how to visualize and represent addition and subtraction situations with equations.

Unit 2 - Determine if two quantities are equal, and how one quantity can be changed to make it equal to the other.

Unit 3 - Learn how to start on any number and count up to 120, and how to count by 10s.

Unit 4 - Understand the different values of the digits in a number, and use this information to add two-digit numbers with one-digit numbers.

Unit 5 - Learn how to measure order objects based on length, and learn how to express length with units.

Unit 6 - Learn how to read clocks and write time by looking at digital and analog clocks.

Unit 7 - Learn how to interpret data and answer questions about the total number of points.
